FAQ

The invitation I received did not specify whether or not I may bring a guest. How do I know if I can?

  • If your invitation names you “& Guest” then you may bring a guest. If it does not specify “& Guest” only you are invited. If you would really like to bring a guest, please contact us and we can see whether or not there is room. *Note that this does not apply to the save the date card you received. Wait until you receive the formal invitation to find out.

I didn’t receive a save the date magnet; does that mean I’m not invited?

  • You may still be invited to the wedding even if you didn’t receive a save the date magnet. We will find out closer to the wedding date if we are able to invite additional guests.

Are children invited?

  • Children are welcome to come only if they are named on the invitation. Please refrain from bringing your child(ren) because there is a strict head count capacity.

Do you have a gift registry?

  • We are honored to have you present at our wedding as a gift in itself. Since we are not in need of household items, we would appreciate monetary gifts that will help us start our life together.

When should I send in my RSVP?

  • As soon as you know if you will be able to attend or not. The sooner you send it in, the easier it makes for us to plan.

Can I email my RSVP instead?

  • Yes! If email works better for you, please email thao@fobx.com

What’s in the vegetarian dish?

  • Portobello Mushroom Stack with Basil Pesto Drizzle. Potato au gratin on the side.

How long does it take to get to the reception location from the ceremony?

  • Rancho Las Lomas is approximately 23 miles from St. Callistus Church. It will take you between 30 to 45 minutes to get there.

Why should I plan on arriving at the reception on time versus stylishly late? A few reasons:

  1. It’s so easy to get lost in the canyons. Plan on arriving on time so if you do get lost you won’t be so late.
  2. There are some yummy hors d’oeuvres to enjoy. Don’t miss out on a party for your palette!
  3. A small private zoological garden consisting of lions, zebras, llamas, parrots, and many other exotic animals is on the grounds. Come with enough time to visit and enjoy them and the lush grounds they live on.

Why should I stay until midnight?

  • During our after hours party time when club/dance music and a lounge will be set-up in doors from 10pm to midnight, we will have some exclusive things offered only during these 2 hours. Please stay late to help us continue the celebration.

soo umm…how come you’re marrying Rob instead of Johnny Depp???

  2. thao on December 4, 2009 12:39 am

Johnny Depp may be the Sexiest Man Alive, but Rob is the Sexiest Man to ever exist–PERIOD!

what if you dont get an invite and want to go?

  5. thao on December 8, 2009 10:41 pm

Quang: what you DON’T do is ask us why you weren’t invited. It’s a very difficult decision having to narrow down our guest list to keep to a max capacity. If we had to be made to feel guilty not being able to invite everyone on our facebook accounts it would be even worse!

what you CAN do is beg a person who is invited with an “& Guest” if you can be their date.

if you didn’t receive a save the date, it doesn’t mean you won’t be invited. we may find out closer to the date that we have extra room to enable us to invite more people.
